Christian-Albrecht-Haus (CAH) is the oldest and smallest students' residence hall of Studentenwerk Schleswig-Holstein; its history dates back to the year 1923. Being the first international students' residence hall in the Federal Republic of Germany it has been inaugurated in 1951 by the then Federal President Prof. Theodor Heuss. According to its statute, 50% of the inhabitants shall each be German and foreign nationals. The cultural and spiritual exchange of the inhabitants is a vital aim of this institution.
